My favorite wine characteristics: For reds I tend to lean towards bigger wines with long, lush finishes; something with big fruit and hints of berry or some coffee and earthiness. In whites I love crisp, floral wines with a fresh hint of melon or pineapple. My favorite types of wine: I really enjoy summer whites, such as Pinot Grigios and New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, which tend to be crisp, fruit forward and refreshing, simple wines. With food I like big, intense reds such as a California Meritage or a rich, flamboyant Cabernet Sauvignon My favorite wine experience: I would have to say that my favorite wine experience is ongoing… Meeting with many people in my nearly 30 years in the wine business, I still enjoy finding the right wine for each persons needs. Also I have had the opportunity to attend many industry tastings in the area, and have recently traveled to California on a staff trip to Napa and Sonoma, where I had a great time and got to try many great, new wines!
