This is a wonderful drinking malbac, worth putting away a case or two.

I would like to lie and give it a bad rating as that way there would be more for me but alas I was taught to share............ A suprisingly wonderful, full and "intriguing" wine. In a room full of differentiating palates, the one wine that pleased everyone.

If you don't like the regular reislings due to higher residual sugars (sweeter), try the dry. Beautiful apple, pear, and floral notes. Not as crisp-dry as a pinot gris, but not as sweet as a reisling. A PERFECT in-between light crispy wine.

My wife and I opened a bottle one Sunday afternoon. It had been in my wine drawer for some time. Had fogotten why I had purchased. I was wonderful stuff. Tastes of rasberries. I would highly recommend alone or with red sauce on pasta or tastes particularly good with chocolate. Very tasty.

One of the most beautiful wine experiences I've ever had. So rich yet delicate it spoke poetry to our palettes and enhanced our dining pleasure 10 fold. I have since purchased several cases (of 2005) and can say with delight that I have been amazed at how many different cuisines it pairs well with. It serves seafood, steak, salad and even indian style masala with uplifting, enhancing and magical finesse. It tastes so softly wonderful on the palette by itself or with food that the price is not the factor, its the flavor, a hint of sweet, a rich yet unassuming dryness similar to a chenin blanc or savignon blanc yet so well balanced I think everyone would love it!

So many people feel intimated when selecting a bottle of wine to bring to a dinner party, particularly if the host or hostess really knows wine. If it's a hearty meal featuring garlic or red meat, this is the wine to bring. Beautiful in the glass and with a warm oak nose, this full-bodied wine hints of blackberries and blueberries. I guarantee this wine will impress.

Amazing wine for the price. Intense, yet so very smooth. I have served this wine to casual wine drinkers and serious aficionados. They all had the same smile on their faces after the first sip.

As a fan of Malbec and Argentinian wines I've felt Las Hormigas is one of the few wines is inexpensive and consistent enough vintage after vintage to merit repurchasing multiple times. It has faired very well at many grilling parties, with marinated Rib Eye and New York Strip
