90-93 Points Wine Advocate
This may be the finest Chante Perdrix produced since the brilliant 1989 (which, while fully mature, continues to evolve beautifully). An exotic perfume of freshly ground pepper, seaweed, incense, Chinese black tea, plums, and sweet fruit soars from the glass of this aromatic, complex wine. A concoction of savory, meaty, raspberry and cherry characteristics is followed by a dense, full-bodied yet elegant Chateauneuf with a heady, sexy, alcoholic finish. Already glorious to drink, with low acidity and an irresistible forward character, it should evolve for another decade. Anticipated maturity: now-2011.
