One of the best efforts from this property in years, the superb 2001 boasts a light greenish-gold color, tremendous fruit intensity, and a perfume of baked apple pie intermixed with creme brulee, caramel, peaches, honeysuckle, and a hint of vanilla. The wine is full-bodied, relatively sweet, with tremendous purity and definition. This is profound stuff! Anticipated maturity: 2006-2025.
